Sky High Harvest Host

I’ve stayed at over 175 Harvest Host locations around the US and Canada and have had so many great experiences: the hosts, the locations, the hospitality/generosity. It’s been wonderful being part of the HH program. That said, one of my favorite stays and adventure was at  Parachute Montreal South Shore. Harvest Host Parachute Montreal I was up in northern Maine and thought Parachute Montreal would be a neat place to stay and watch the skydivers. I had no intention of partaking in the skydiving as I am a bit afraid of heights. But as is typical for me, plans change. About a week before my planned arrival at Parachute Montreal, I changed my mind and booked a jump time. No backing out now. I arrived at Parachute Montreal earlier than expected, maybe nerves, maybe wanting to get it over, maybe to give me time to think this whole thing over again. Serendipity

Serendipity is the act of finding valuable or pleasant things by chance, especially when you are not specifically looking for them. It's a form of good fortune or "happy accident," where a happy discovery occurs unintentionally.    My life as a nomad has been full of serendipitous moments, too many to count or remember, but a few of these moments really stand out.  Coffee and Dog Watching Early one morning in Galveston TX, I decided to find a coffee shop and have a coffee and a bite to eat. I found a nice place that had outside seating. I was sitting there enjoying my morning coffee as two women approached the coffee shop with their cute black lab mix named Abby. They didn’t allow dogs inside so they were going to take turns going in to order.  I noticed their little dilemma and asked them if they wanted me to watch their dog so they could go in together.
